Dates: October 27; November 3, 10, 17, 30; December 1, 8, 15

8 Classes

Students learn how to craft persuasive arguments and rebuttals, practicing these skills each week with a full-length debate in which each student has a role. Topics are drawn from student interest and domestic and world issues.

Each class ends with a detailed debrief from the instructor of both individual and team performance before a winner is declared. An individual progress report is sent to families after each class indicating student growth and suggestions for the next class.

Debate topics rotate each season, affording students a fresh experience each time they join the Debate Society.
